Fuerteventura is very suitable for a short or longer holiday in which you go mountainbiking. The island is the least populated of all the (7 big) Canary Islands and therefore you can make beautiful mountain bike tours on often quiet paths.
Volcanic craters in the north, hilly terrain in the middle and extensive trails in the south await you.
Because of the very favourable climate, the temperature varies between 20 and 30 degrees throughout the year and it hardly ever rains, you can actually make perfect mountain bike tours every day.
Fuerteventura’s four larger tourist towns are located in the far north, on the east coast and in the far south. The centre and west of the island are very sparsely populated and you will hardly meet any other cyclists or hikers here on your mountain bike tour.
The central Betancuria massif runs like a ridge from north to south and dominates much of the middle of the island. The foothills of this massif are great for mountain biking.
